Jakarta (BeritaMu.co.id) – Battlefield 2042 coming this fall, will offer the biggest battle in the series; “All-Out Warfare” mode that can fit up to 128 simultaneous players in a single game on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
However, players cannot fully fill up to 128 in one game. EA will refill those servers with bots to keep the game loaded, the company has confirmed to The Verge.
In this game, humans will be prioritized and players will probably never encounter an AI army at peak playtime.
If a gamer hates the presence of bots, players will be able to play other modes. But the main game allows up to 64 “AI armies” to help fill the game, depending on your region, platform, and how many real -life humans are available to join the game.
This is sure to be a polarizing decision, and a smart one considering the alternatives. It’s very risky to create one that will house about 128 simultaneous players (64 players on PS4 and Xbox One), when a player never knows how long a multiplayer game can hold on to users.
MAG, the PS3 game that supported 256-player battles in 2010, actually inspired a petition to add bots to the game.
EA bots may also be in progress: “This game is still in development and AI usage will be adjusted as player data comes in,” the company notes.
EA says it will soon have more info on how the new bot will work. If you like them, you will be able to see more of them if you want.
While Battlefield 2042, will not have a single player campaign, you will be able to play any map and game mode solo against a team of bots, or invite your friends to battle in co-op mode.
