The train will end in Ogulin to eliminate delays.
RegioJet is having a bad week on its railway connection between the Czech Republic and Croatia. After Saturday’s long delay on the way from Croatia due to the impassable route, there is currently a connection from the Czech Republic to Croatia with a delay of more than ten hours.
The train was delayed in Rajka on the Slovak-Hungarian border. “Unfortunately, there was a defect in the locomotive on the connection, which could not be removed on the spot. A spare locomotive was sent from Budapest for the train set,“Said Aleš Ondrůj, spokesman for RegioJet.
It was a Bombardier TRAXX MS2 locomotive, which the carrier has leased from Akiem. “We will refund half the fare to passengers. We are very sorry. We apologize for any complications – in cooperation with Hungarian and Croatian partners we do our best to eliminate the impacts,“Added Ondrůj.
In order to eliminate the delay in turning the set, the train will end in Ogulin, from where an alternative bus service will be introduced. It will also bring passengers from Split and Rijeka.
