Leipzig – In the European League of Football (ELF) won the Hamburg Sea Devils on Sunday at the Leipzig Kings in front of 2,384 spectators in the Alfred-Kunze-Sportpark with 55: 0 (31: 0). For the North Germans it was the fourth victory in the fourth game of the season.
Hamburg rolled over Leipzig before the break
After just three minutes, the ball landed in the Leipzig end zone. Xavier Johnson made for the first touchdown. Phillip Andersen confidently converted the additional point to 7-0. In the second quarter, the “anglerfish” could not be stopped. Adria Bottle Moreno, Justin Rogers and Evans Yeboah followed up with three touchdowns. Shortly before the break, it was already 28: 0 for Hamburg. Andersen went one better and hit space from 50 yards to a field goal after a fumble and three unsuccessful attempts. The guest defense gave the Saxons no opportunity to develop.

No chance for the Kings
It went on in the same way in the second half. Benjamin Mau caught the ball for the next touchdown in the third quarter. The Hamburg team changed and for quarterback Jadrian Clark, as in the previous games, Salieu Ceesay from Lübeck was allowed to play. Johann Hummel made the next six points for the guys from the Elbe. Rogers was even allowed to cheer a second time when he danced the entire Leipzig team after a punt return. In between, Anderson was once again successful from the game. After converting all of his additional points, he scored a second time with a field goal (46 yards) to make it 55-0. There were still just under seven minutes until the Leipzig “redemption”. In the end it stayed that way and the Sea Devils achieved the highest result in the ELF premiere season to date.
