For this last match of the season, EA Guingamp confirmed their excellent spring form. Unbeaten since April 12 (32nd day), the Costarmoricans therefore end their 2020-21 exercise in a series of seven games without defeat, including five victories. A course worthy of a top-of-the-table team!

Very often lacking success or efficiency in the areas of truth since the start of the championship, the EAG finally seems to have found its bearings in this precise and essential area. In Deux-Sèvres, Alaixys Romao’s teammates demonstrated real defensive strength, against a poorly classified opponent, who had to ensure his maintenance, and who finished in a barrage position (18th).
And on the offensive side, the opportunities were rare but the first real opportunity to conclude was enough to open the scoring, on a penalty coldly transformed by Gomis, just before the break. At the end of the match, the young Muyumba also took advantage of an opponent’s release to score a “hang-up goal”.
