The main prize of the Cannes Film Festival “Golden Palm Branch” was awarded on Saturday to the French director Julia Dikurno for the film “Titan” (“Titan”).
The second most prestigious awards at the festival “Grand Prix” are shared by the Iranian director Ashgar Farhadi for the film “A Hero” (“Hero”) and the Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen for the film “Compartment No.6”.
The best director’s award was given to French director Leos Carac for the film “Annette” (“Anete”).
The best actress award went to Norwegian actress Renate Reinswe for her performance in “Worst Person in the World”, and the Best Actor Award for performance in “Nitram” honored American actor Caleb Landriy Jones.
Hammaguchi Rjusuke and Takamasa Oe were awarded the Best Screenplay Award for the screenplay for the Japanese film “Drive My Car”.
The jury award is shared by Israeli director Nadav Lapid for “Ahed’s Knee” and Thai director Apichatpong Virasetakul for “Memoria”.
