“After being released from the captivity of his captors, Alikhil immediately received medical treatment at the hospital,” the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement urging an immediate investigation. The hospital medical report stated that Alikhil was hit in the head and there were marks of rope ties on both his wrists and legs. He was also brutally beaten.
Suspicion arose that he also had fractures in several parts of his body, and an X-ray examination would be carried out.
The report also said that Alikhil’s abductors held him for more than 5 hours. Police then took him to a hospital in Islamabad. There have been no details about the kidnapping or his release.
