ALGIERS – The El Bina Movement said on Saturday it was “deeply shocked” by the content of the official note distributed by the Moroccan representation to member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement in New York, qualifying this action as a declaration of war against children from Algeria.

The Movement which said it was “deeply shocked, like any Algerian besides, by the content of the official document distributed by the Moroccan representation to the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement in New York”, qualified this “serious announcement of declaration of war against Algeria, State and people, and expects a firm position from the State institutions empowered to respond to it, “said a statement from the El Bina Movement.
The Algerian people will remain united and indivisible, homogeneous and amalgamated, and any maneuver beginning to the unity of the homeland or the people, and any desperate attempt aimed at its dismemberment would be a going beyond, even a declaration of war against the Algerians, and requires a urgent response by the state and its sovereign institutions, the party wrote.
To do this, the situation requires “standing alongside the institutions, far from any political calculations, differences or controversies”, supported the Movement, recalling that “we certainly have the right to diverge around the priorities at the service of citizens, but we have no right to put our differences on the table when it comes to the homeland or the unity of this people ”.
The duty to strengthen the internal front and societal cohesion is now “more than a simple national duty whose violation is indictable, this is why we must leave behind our dissimilarities and quarrels to deal with an attacking enemy and watching out for our security, even the unity of the people and the integrity of the territory, that is to say the heritage of the martyrs, ”the statement noted.
“We call on our free and honest Moroccan brothers, oppressed by the Makhzen regime, to take an honorable position and to denounce this official and reckless position,” added the same source.
The party asserted that Algeria’s steadfast position “regarding support for just causes stems from loyalty to our valiant chouhada. We will always strive to remain true to our principles in entrenched and fair foreign relations no matter the conditions.”
“The Saharawi people, deprived of their rights, is the title of our struggle to enable them to obtain their rights and exercise their right to self-determination, as stipulated in the resolutions of the Security Council. The Saharawi cause continues being a matter of decolonization, ”the source added.
Calling all Algerians to the imperative to unite in order to protect our country and the future of our generations because the enemy will remain an enemy and will not change, the El Bina Movement has invited all political forces and national personalities to display their positions explicitly and to join them to the position of the State, represented by the President of the Republic, in addition to the support of civil, security and military institutions to defend national sovereignty and preserve independence “.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad condemned “strongly”, in a statement Friday, “a particularly dangerous drift” of the Moroccan diplomatic representation in New York, which distributed, recently, to the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement an official note in which Morocco publicly and explicitly supports a so-called “right to self-determination of the Kabyle people”.
