Alejandro Fernández Abarca (Guadalajara, Jalisco; April 24, 1971) is a Mexican singer of regional Mexican music and Latin pop, son of the ranchero singer Vicente Fernández. At first he specialized in traditional forms of regional Mexican music such as mariachi. Later it has diversified into the Latin pop with urban touches, ballads and boleros.
He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on April 24, 1971. He grew up in a traditionally united family. He has two older brothers Vicente Jr. and Gerardo and a sister Alejandra. In addition to his musical inclination by inheritance and vocationFernández also felt the need to expand his personal training and, after primary and secondary studies, he entered the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac to study Architecture.
He has a solid recording career and He has been the recipient of two Latin Grammys and six Billboard Awards. It has managed to sell approximately 15 million albums around the world.
