Good news ! Last season having been largely canceled due to the pandemic, the Alexandre-Dumas theater is offering members of the year 20-21 the 21-22 membership card. And next season is shaping up to be fantastic.
The theater will celebrate the 400th anniversary of Molière’s birth with three of his plays: Georges Dandin or the confused husband (November 30) and Forced marriage (February 17), two comedy-ballets, as well as The Tartuffe or the Impostor (18 mars).
Still in terms of the theater, One of the last evenings of Carnival (March 29) is presented by the Comédie française. Benoît Dissaux, artistic director of the Alexandre-Dumas theater, was seduced by this play. “Period costumes, fabulous sets, great acting… It’s a dancing, singing and entertaining comedy! “
At the crossroads of genres, The Baroque Carnival (January 18) combines theater, acrobatics, baroque music and immerses the spectator in 18th century Rome. For even more acrobatics, you can attend the shows of two Canadian circus companies. Circus machines will take you in an avalanche of colors with the show The Gallery (April 14) and Cirque Alfonse will make you vibrate to the sound of its live orchestra with Tabarnak (December 16).
