The city center of Glasgow currently resembles a major American city in the 1960s. Several streets were decorated with American flags and banners for the shoot. The Scottish city is said to double for New York in the film.

Parade after moon landing

A parade for the Apollo 11 astronauts took place in Manhattan in 1969 after the moon landing. The BBC showed photos from the set showing banners with greetings to Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin.

In addition to director James Mangold (“Le Mans 66”), photos in the British media showed a man who was very similar to Ford. However, it should be a double. Actor Ford recently injured his shoulder while filming and is expected to have to take a break for a few weeks.

On the other hand, alongside director Mangold, the British actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”) and US actor Boyd Holbrook (“Narcos”) were spotted. The Dane Mads Mikkelsen (“Casino Royale”) is said to have been spotted on the set.

Theatrical release not until 2022

Filming for “Indiana Jones 5” began in England in June. As in the previous four films, Ford plays the adventurer and archaeologist Jones. The filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas had started the “Indy” series in 1981 with “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Spielberg, who had directed all the films so far, had handed over the management of the fifth part to Mangold. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 29, 2022.
