Neighbors on Hacienda Ciénaga de Mata street, almost at the intersection with Hacienda del Jardín, documented the damage and reported that this is experienced every year in the rainy season; However, they pointed out that this was one of the times that the water has risen the most, due to the fact that the street vendors on Hacienda La Calera street in the east of the city, left several wastes and that plugged several sewers and even accumulated on a bridge. under the canal.
“If what happens is that here on the street of La Calera, a flea market is put on which the merchants leave their garbage, but the garbage is not collected in its entirety and what I think is that the same garbage with the same slope that comes from the water, here it comes and plugs what has been the drain, it is one of the reasons why it was also not possible to go where the water should go ”, said Miguel Ángel Zuñiga, a neighbor affected by the rain
They also referred to their disagreement with the authorities, as they explained that the candidates have promised their support to contain the water, but to date no one has done anything for them.
“We get flooded a lot and each candidate when there are elections they come and they promise us that they will fix the channel, they will fix it and they never fix it, they just promise, just when we select a good friend and there is nothing left and then every year the water gets into us to the inside ”, said an affected lady.
Several vehicles were dragged by the current, however one of them, when hit against a tree, was a total loss of it, so the owners said they were upset, because it was almost new.
“The car like the current here because it is very strong, the current dragged it and it remained there in the tree, there it got stuck and then the car, the current rose so much that it covered the car completely and if it was a total loss. We are waiting for the agency to see what they are going to say about the car, ”said the mother of the young man who lost his vehicle in the rain.
Finally, it should be noted that due to the frequency with which this happens, those affected detailed that they had already ordered several grids to be made at the entrances of their doors as a solution to prevent them from entering their homes, since their furniture and electrical appliances are damaged with each storm .
