NYXL’s Ivy retires – Marseille News

Seung-hyun “Ivy” Lee, flexible DPS player for New York Excelsior, is retiring from the Overwatch League.

As the Summer Showdown draws to a close, New York Excelsior bids farewell to one of his last picks. Seung-hyun “Ivy” Lee has decided to retire from the team and retire from the Overwatch League.

Ivy started his Overwatch League career with Toronto Defiant in the 2019 season. He then moved to Philadelphia Fusion, where he helped the team secure second place in the 2020 Overwatch League regular season. Philadelphia Fusion was fourth in the grand final, but Ivy made her mark on the team.

With NYXL, things didn’t go so well for Ivy. The player struggled to find his place in the starting six, warming the bench more than before with Philadelphia Fusion. New York Excelsior made it through to the semi-finals of the June Joust tournament but lost to the Summer Showdown Regional Knockouts.

Ivy is now retiring from the Overwatch League, with no additional information at this time. NYXL will be heading to the Countdown Cup with three DPS players: Seung-woo “FEATH5R” Lee, Young-woo “Flora” Lim and Gwang-won “Gwangboong” Kim.
