Methods for maintaining tone and youth

From a certain age, especially after 35-40 years, when full maturity enters its rights, the concern for the external aspect becomes greater, with important psychological connotations on each person.

Some of us, a little luckier, have inherited through the genetic dowry an enviable physical appearance at any age. These people enjoy the so-called “life without age “, such as those who maintain their muscular suppleness, body vigor and a perfect complexion even if the chronological age is advanced compared to the appearance and physical appearance.

Along with the calendar age, an important criterion is biological age: the way we look, how we feel, how much work and life power we have. Not all people age the same, many feel the same BOYS, which is why we can see next to us old-young people at 50-55 years old with wrinkles and slow movements, with a low muscle tone, while some young-old people have an unstoppable vivacity of movements, they have only a few small wrinkles of expression and have a youthful allure despite chronological age. Unfortunately, these people are quite rare!

The others must overcome by other methods the passing of the years and, implicitly, the maintenance of a physical aspect that they want. In the following lines I will reveal some methods by which you can maintain your youth and muscle tone like in your youth. Voltaire joked that “aging is the only way to live as long as possible.” Why not live beautifully, why not age beautifully?

Maintaining spiritual youth goes hand in hand with maintaining the best possible muscle tone, a perfect look and a more toned attitude towards life. Medical and geriatric research has led to the conclusion that all the functional and morphological changes in the human body are the disturbance of metabolism and decreased ability to divide and renew cells.

It represents an involuntary disorder of metabolism by breaking the balance between assimilation and disassimilation, decreasing the body’s ability to respond to external stimuli, this being reflected in the degree of spontaneity with which the body responds to the needs and demands of the living environment and daily requirements. To all this is added implicitly the degree of fatigue, stress and stress to which he was subjected during his life.

One of the methods of maintaining physical, mental and emotional youth is work, alternating activities that involve an activity with high intellectual concentration with activities that involve more physical work. The alternation between the two types of activities allows maintaining an optimal muscle tone and a mental tone appropriate to the activities performed.

Job satisfaction and other activities that fall into the category of “active rest” develop personal satisfaction with a positive impact on the human psyche. Leisure management guarantees the development of pleasant and comforting activities at any age.

By comparison, people who after work prefer to go for walks in the open air, to work in the green space near the house or around the block, find creative activities (small repairs in the household, untying puzzles, reading a book, assembling elements for making decorative objects, sports activities, etc.) are much more earned than those who lose their nights in bars or in various public places in cigarette smoke and deafening noise. And so life is quite complex, and the psychic demands are of many kinds; if we do not find an oasis of joy in pleasant activities or hobbies we will certainly look much older than the age listed in the bulletin!

Another method of maintaining the body’s youth is the time allotted to rest. a sleep restful will invigorate the whole body so that the next day it can start again, with all the physical and mental potential it has. The right rest for an adult is perfectly achieved in the 6-8 hours of sleep between 22 and 6 am

An adequate rest program ensures the perfect management of the physical and mental potential for an adult regardless of the activity he carries out at work. Some will probably rightly ask themselves: but those who do not have a job, whether they are retired or unemployed? Yes, these people also carry out various activities for which they must rest so that in their activities they have a good performance. An unemployed person certainly carries out activities near the house; he channels his efforts in order to find a job, which is why he must be rested and attentive to the challenges of daily life.

Hardening of the body is another way to maintain adequate vigor and tone as much as possible. By hardening the body, any person becomes more resistant to climate change, he has a greater immunity to illnesses in the cold season or may be more resistant in case of prolonged physical or intellectual activities.

By tempering the body we can understand resistance to physical effort, intellectual effort, temperature changes and activities that involve outdoor activities or travel regardless of weather conditions. An organism qualified for such conditions will be more resistant, the human potential will respond promptly to the demands from the socio-economic environment and thus the individual will be more efficient in his activity.

Some people accustomed to walking long distances will certainly feel the lack of this activity if they are on vacation or are immobilized in bed due to a pain; a person accustomed to the intellectual effort sustained at work, of course, during the holidays will feel the need to read a book, to find out about events or problems of personal interest. These were just two examples, but there are others.

One method that may be more difficult to put into practice is a balanced and orderly life, without excesses of any kind. It is said that everything is good, we can do everything, but with a limit! Maintaining a rhythm of work and rest, nutrition and physical activity, weighted consumption of food of all kinds, even the drink without excess represents a harmonious and balanced lifestyle. This is one of the rules of longevity and maintaining an optimal tone of the whole body.

Another method is social relationships. Man is himself a social animal. He needs friends, people to relate to besides his co-workers. Every man must have someone to relate an event in his life, a joy or an upset. Every man, whether he wants to or not, has enemies; people who envy him for his achievements or gossip about his failures in life. All this is an important factor in every person’s life. A man without friends or enemies does not exist. Voltaire also said that “you are good for nothing if you are good only for yourself”.

We notice that there are several methods, simpler or more complicated, by which we can maintain high standards: body, soul and mind. It doesn’t matter how we look physically, it is more important to know and accept ourselves as we are, to act in accordance with the requirements of society and to use our personal potential at its true value.
