Stabbing violence
On June 21, the body of a 63-year-old man was found by firefighters after his house in Renève, a village of just over 400 souls, burned down. After the formal identification of the victim thanks to DNA expertise, the autopsy revealed that the man had died as a result of stabbing violence.
The investigating judge, seized by the Dijon prosecutor’s office, opened a judicial investigation for homicide at the end of June. This led to the arrest and then the indictment on Thursday of the defendant, domiciled in the Jura. He was incarcerated.
