The intense rains of yesterday continued throughout the night and until this morning on most of the province of Liege, in Belgium.
After Limbourg, Theux, Spa and Pepinster yesterday hit by bad weather, today it was Verviers to wake up flooded.
Torrential rains have led to a significant rise in the level of the rivers, which are now more than saturated.
Since Wednesday, Spa, Theux, Pepinster – where several houses have collapsed – and Limbourg have been affected, and Verviers it was flooded with water and mud. The pressure on the Vesdre is such that it has generated a widespread flood, from the areas near the embankment to the city center.

The first budget of the floods that are devastating in these hours the province of Liège, in the east of Belgium, is of 2 dead: this was announced by the governor of the province Catherine Delcourt, who also spoke of several missing. For several days, torrential rains have been falling on this region which is in a state of maximum alert.
The Meuse River, which flows through Liège and Maastricht, is in danger of overflowing.
