PPKM Emergency Sacrifice Can Be Done Digitally, Here’s How

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Jenius, in collaboration with the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas), Rumah Zakat, and Dompet Dhuafa presents qurbani digitally directly through smartphones.

With this collaboration, digital savvy people can easily choose the Eid al-Adha qurban program through the Bills menu on the Jenius application. This collaboration is Jenius’ commitment to continue to provide financial services for the digital savvy community in Indonesia.

Waasi B. Sumintardja, Digital Banking Business Product Head of Bank BTPN, explained that digital banking services play a very important role today in helping people to live their daily lives or business.

“Through collaboration with Baznas, Rumah Zakat and Dompet Dhuafa, digital savvy people can make sacrifices by staying at home without making physical contact,” said Waasi.

Rizaludin Kurniawan, Chairman of the RI Baznas said that the qurban payment feature in Jenius is one of the best solutions in helping the community to fulfill their qurbani. With the online Kurban Baznas supported by Jenius, it is a form of support for government policies in the implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

Rizaludin emphasized that Baznas manages qurban services in a trustworthy, transparent and accountable manner. Every year public trust always increases.

“In 2019, the increase in the number of qurban participants even reached 118% and in 2020 it rose 66%. Hopefully this collaboration can be a solution for equitable distribution and distribution of sacrificial meat on target,” said Rizaludin.

Jenius together with Baznas, Rumah Zakat, and Dompet Dhuafa provide 19 choices of qurbani. Jenius also provides a new way of sacrificing through the choice of rendang or corned beef. If the user chooses this method, the sacrificial goat/cattle will be processed and packaged in the form of rendang or canned corned beef with the details that one goat is processed into ± 30 cans of corned beef or ± 25 cans of rendang, 1/7 of a cow is processed into ± 50 cans of corned beef or ± 35 cans of rendang, and a cow is processed into ± 350 cans of corned beef or ± 235 cans of rendang

Apart from rendang and corned beef, Jenius also provides a variety of other offerings. Starting from the sacrifice of Raudhah goats, Al Kautsar goats, Firdaus goats, cow sacrifices (1/7 head or one head), and sheep sacrifices for Muslims in Palestine, to goat or cow sacrifices for remote villages where there is minimal slaughter of sacrificial animals.

To sacrifice digitally through the Jenius application, users can follow several steps. First, log in to the Jenius application, select the Send It feature, select Bills – Zakat & Others (Zakat & Others), then select the qurbani institution (Baznas, Rumah Zakat, or Dompet Dhuafa).
