The latest OLED TV from LG with a 4K resolution that has a futuristic design will arrive in the United States. This 65-inch TV has a self-rolling screen.
The newest OLED TV from LG with a 4K resolution that has a futuristic design, where the screen can be rolled up, will come in the United States at a very fantastic price of USD 100,000 (approximately Rp. 1.4 billion). This OLED TV was first introduced at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in 2018 as a prototype. Then, the prototype was turned into a real product the following year and now has been successfully mass-produced.
The TV, nicknamed the LG Signature OLED R TV, actually arrived earlier at the end of last year in South Korea at a price of USD 87,000 (around Rp. 1.2 billion). This 65-inch TV has a self-rolling screen. The screen can roll until it is fully immersed into the unit housing-nya.
OLED R comes with audio system support from Dolby Atmos which is placed on the front side of the housing. In addition to having a fully spread and immersed mode, the OLED R also has a screen mode with a center view. The company calls the mode Line View, and when it’s enabled on the OLED R, you’ll be able to use the TV to display the clock, photos, control music, and more.
Then in terms of image quality displayed, the OLED R is technically no more attractive than LG’s newer TV models. It’s like the regular design G1 model introduced earlier this year with a brighter picture quality than the OLED R. Although the OLED R’s picture quality isn’t better than the others, this TV is equipped with very modern features, including: Dolby Vision, 120Hz 4K gaming, variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode, voice control, etc. For a Rp1.4 billion TV, of course OLED R has four HDMI ports
Reported from The Verge (15/7), LG said that pre-orders will be opened for the OLED R in August. The OLED R can also be ordered through the site official store LG, this means that for those of you who have extra cash, you can also get a TV that has a rolled-up screen design.
