We use fabric softener together with detergent

When washing by hand, we must use fabric softener at the same time as the detergent. We fill a tub with warm water, soak our clothes, and add the fabric softener. Attention, we must not overdo the quantities. About 30ml of fabric softener will be enough for 10 liters of water. If we overdo it with the softener, the laundry could be ‘slimy’ or with a patina of product deposited on the surface even after drying. So little is needed. We leave our garments to soak for no more than a quarter of an hour and rinse them thoroughly. If we are hand washing particularly bulky and heavy items, we can use a higher amount of fabric softener for better results. For example for towels, blankets, bed sheets and duvets, we put about 50% more fabric softener into the water than with normal laundry. We will have a fresh, fragrant and very soft laundry.
