Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Commissioner of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Pandu Patria Sjahrir, revealed that the unicorn e-commerce company, Bukalapak, will become an initial public listing with the largest emission value in history.
Bukalapak became the first unicorn e-commerce company from Indonesia to have an initial listing on the IDX by offering 25% shares to the public with a target of IDR 21.90 trillion in public offering funds with the ticker code BUKA. Meanwhile, the IPO price range offered is Rp. 750 to Rp. 850 per share.

“This makes Bukalapak the largest IPO in the history of the Republic,” said Pandu, at the event titled Meet The Expert: Energizing Market through Company Public Offering held by Mandiri Sekuritas, Wednesday (14/7/2021).
Interestingly, said Pandu, currently apart from Bukalapak, there are other technology companies that also have the opportunity to list shares on the IDX. These companies include GoTo, PT Global JET Express (J&T Express), and PT Tinusa Travelindo (Traveloka).
GoTo’s estimated market capitalization value is estimated at US$ 18 billion, J&T Express at US$ 7.8 billion, while Traveloka is at US$ 2.75 billion.
If these four companies are listed on the stock exchange, it will potentially increase the weight of the MSCI Index, which is currently controlled by 22 companies with a market capitalization value of US$ 95.30 billion, increasing to 26 companies with a market capitalization value of US$ 103.32 billion.
