The Hyundai Elantra N is said to be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that develops 280 horsepower and 392 Newtons of torque. The unit can be coupled to either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic and dual-clutch.
The new Hyundai Elantra N, equipped with a launch control system, needs 5.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h.
N Power Shift, N Track Sense Shift and N Grin Shift modes are available on board. The latter is reserved for versions with automatic transmission. Upon activation, the sedan receives 10 extra horsepower, reaching 290 for a limited time.
For superior dynamics, the model received an electronically controlled limited slip differential. The electrically adjustable suspension makes Elantra N a true athlete.
The new Hyundai Elantra N – design to match the performance
Elantra N comes with an aggressive front look, highlighted by a new spoiler and oversized air intakes. Its image is complemented by red accents, which contrast with Performance Blue paint, a prominent air diffuser and a fixed aileron, as can be seen in teaser image published three weeks ago. The model is equipped with wheels developed especially for him.
There are new seats on board. Optionally, customers can order shell seats, which provide a position 10 millimeters lower than that provided by standard chairs.
The multimedia system has been improved. It now displays relevant data such as the delivered torque value, oil temperature or turbine pressure. Tour enthusiasts have a stopwatch at their disposal.
The Asians have equipped the new Hyundai Elantra N with the N Sound Equalizer system. It plays in the speakers the soundtrack produced by the i30 N model, which the company aligns at the start in the Touring Car Racing (TCR) championship.
The new sports sedan will make its debut, for a start, on the Korean market. It will arrive in Europe by the end of the year.
