The family of sharp Hyundai models with the N designation has expanded by another model, this time a sharp Elantra sedan.

Although the Hyundai Elantra sedan is no longer offered on the Czech market, Elantra continues on world markets, and after the sporty design of the N Line edition, the full-fat sports-tuned version of the Elantra N has been released.
Beneath the hood settled the well-known 2.0-liter supercharged four-cylinder tuned to 206 kW (280 hp), which we know in Europe from the recently introduced Kona N model, like the sharp SUV. It then promises acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds.
The self-locking differential helps with the transfer of power to the asphalt and the suppression of understeer, but in addition, the Elantra N also received an integrated drive axle (IDA), which improves acceleration and cornering. The car also has larger brake discs with better brake pads and an improved cooling system.

The chassis has been additionally reinforced, has an improved suspension and a stiffer rear stabilizer. In addition, the carmaker wears Michelin Pilot 4S sports tires with a size of 245/35 R19 on all wheels.
The Elantra N also gets the Variable Exhaust Valve system, thanks to which the exhaust can emit really aggressive sounds with a little cracking. However, the engineers also worked on the artificial sound of the engine in the cabin, which should underline the interesting feeling of driving. In addition, the control unit has the N Grin Shift function, thanks to which it is possible to temporarily increase the engine power by up to 10 hp.

The cab features sports seats with improved side guidance, a range of N-shaped badges and an infotainment enhancement that offers a wheel measurement function while displaying important data such as oil and coolant temperatures.
The exterior received a slightly modified mask with a new spoiler, the rear bumper has a more pronounced diffuser with a pair of massive round tailpipes and there is also a decent wing. Of course, there are red decors and the highlighted letter N.
