It’s rare to be emphasized. A few days ago, the horse Banènè from the Chelsea team in Barouéli and his jockey, Bourama Tolo created a sensation in Burkina Faso, by winning the 2021 edition of the Equestrian Grand Prix for African Integration. This competition organized by the Association of breeders of Neema (horse in Mooré language) from June 24 to 27, recorded the participation of several African countries, including Burkina Faso, Mali, Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Chad.
Banènè and his jockey, Bourama Tolo, climbed to the top step of the podium, dominating, hands down, the Super Crack race. The icing on the cake for the Malian delegation, two other horses from the Chelsea Barouéli team were awarded, namely Gaing and Icone Allah. “I am proud of the performance of our horses at the Grand Prix for African Integration in Burkina Faso.
This is the first time in Africa that such a competition has been organized with the best equestrian sports nations on the continent, ”reacted Mahamadou N’Diaye said Madoufing, after the fine performance of the Malian horses. “My joy is all the greater since it is a horse from my stable which climbed on the first step of the podium”, added the boss of the Chelsea team of Barouéli, specifying that Banènè is a pure English blood who was purchased in Morocco.
Galvanized by the trophy won by his horse, Madoufing promises to continue improving the breed of our horses for the promotion of Malian equestrianism.
