Hunter perpetrator after shooting in open street – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

There were several people who were witness to the shooting at Lørenskog Tuesday night. Several shots were fired at a car, but no one was injured.

A white car disappeared from the scene shortly after the shooting. Large resources were put into the search for the suspected shooter.

The emergency squad and helicopter were deployed in the search, but on Wednesday morning no one was arrested.

– No one has been arrested, but we have a named perpetrator we are looking for, says police inspector Ove Furseth to NRK. Furseth tells NTB that the man is charged with attempted murder.

The Eastern Police District is investigating the shooting. They have a clear appeal to the suspect:

– We want him to report to the police, says Furseth.

Furseth says the man they are looking for is an acquaintance of the police. They are now working to map the relationship between the shooter and the victim.

– There is nothing close to a relationship. They have probably been in a conflict that has persisted, says the police inspector.

Police have confirmed that several shots were fired, but how many hit the car is not known.

The man in his 20s who was sitting in the car was not injured and was taken care of on the spot.

What kind of weapon was used is still unknown.

– We have no control over the weapon. Fortunately, no one was injured, says Furseth.
