Recently, a capture of an alleged publication on Facebook of The Republic, with information on the anti-government protests that have been taking place in Cuba since July 11. In this regard, this newspaper clarifies that the broadcast image is false and that it is a montage.
The headline used in the post says: “Thousands of Cubans take to the streets attacking democracy in Cuba.” In addition, it is accompanied by the following text:
“Outrageous! A large demonstration of young imperialists and coup leaders marched against the democratic government of Cuba from the town of San Antonio de Los Baños ”.

It is not yet clear since when the fake Facebook post of The Republic. However, the photograph used for said publication is a capture of a video about the protests in San Antonio de Los Baños the 11 of July.
The website of La República has disseminated information on the latest events in Cuba and neither the image nor the text in question has been used.

Conclution
The supposed publication of La República on Facebook, which criticizes the free exercise of protest by Cuban citizens, is false. It’s about a digital montage made recently and is not related to the publications made until this July 13 on the demonstrations in the Caribbean country.
