Vladimir Naumov, 35, was sentenced to three years in prison for causing an accident with two victims on the Devin-Krichim road, a reporter told Plovdiv24.bg. He will serve his sentence effectively. His sentence was reduced by 1/3, after Vladimir fully admitted his guilt, even expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims.
His driving license will also be revoked for a period of 6 years, the court also decided.
During the hearing, the prosecutor’s office demanded 5 years in prison for Vladimir. Representatives of both families of the victims demanded an even higher sentence – 8 years in prison.
During today’s meeting it became clear that Vladimir Naumov was repeatedly fined under the Road Traffic Act. His book was confiscated twice in one month. There are also 22 served criminal decrees for various road violations. Many of them for speeding within the city.
The incident happened on July 27, 2020, shortly after 6 p.m. Naumov was driving an Audi with a German registration on the way to Devin, where his permanent address is. was 115 km / h, with a limit of 50 km / h.
The crash killed a 66-year-old man who was in the camper, and the 57-year-old driver was taken in serious condition to a hospital, where he also died. The two were returning from fishing to the dam wall.
