The medical workers involved in the vaccination process against COVID-19 were trained in the correct distribution, storage and administration of the Janssen / Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which was received on July 12 this year. Issues related to monitoring post-immunization events and vaccination data were also discussed.
The training took place in an online workshop, organized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Agency for Public Health, with the support of the World Health Organization.
The training workshop was attended by representatives of all vaccination centers in the country, the management of MSMPS, as well as specialists from WHO, ANSP and USMF N. Testemitanu.
“Training of medical workers on the correct administration, storage and monitoring of vaccines that arrive in the Republic of Moldova is vital for the efficient conduct of the vaccination process. The safety of the citizens depends on this, but also the results of the vaccination campaign. We thank the external partners for the support provided, but also the medical workers for the enormous effort in this difficult period “, said the Secretary of State of MSMPS, Tatiana Zatîc.
The Janssen / Johnson & Johnson vaccine is produced by the American pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson to prevent COVID-19 virus infection.
