The statement was made during a speech at a meeting of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council (EU) which was attended by 26 EU foreign ministers with Lapid as the main guest.
“It’s no secret that I support a two-state solution,” Lapid said, but he added, “Unfortunately, there are no current plans for this.”

He continued, “We cannot be asked to take part in establishing another threat to our lives,” referring to the establishment of the State of Palestine.
