Occupational health: publication of the report of the 2016-2020 occupational health plan

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Integration published on July 13, 2021, the report of the 2016-2020 Occupational Health Plan (PST 3) and its 17 regional plans.

The result of co-construction between trade unions and employers, social security organizations, players in occupational prevention and State administrations, the 2016-2020 Occupational Health Plan has set 10 operational objectives organized around three axes:

  • give priority to primary prevention and develop a culture of prevention (in contrast to an approach long focused on reparation);
  • improve the quality of life at work, a lever for health, job retention of workers and the economic and social performance of companies (to meet public health issues but also to keep an aging working population in employment and more affected by progressive chronic diseases);
  • strengthen social dialogue and the resources of the prevention policy by structuring a system of actors, particularly in the direction of VSEs and SMEs.

The five years covered by this plan were marked by the growing importance of occupational health in prevention policy, culminating in an exceptional mobilization of all stakeholders in the face of an unprecedented health crisis. .

The review of the 2016-2020 occupational health plan will feed into the reflection on the fourth occupational health plan which will cover the period 2021-2025 and whose development has already started.
