The indicator for confidence among home buyers at Funda dropped from 86.7 in the first quarter to 74.3 in the past period, the home sales site reports. This puts the confidence of potential home buyers at the lowest quarterly level since Funda started measuring in July last year.
It goes without saying that sellers consider it a good time to put their home up for sale, although many movers make their sales plans dependent on their chances of acquiring a new home. There is still a lot of hunting for houses, both the average number of reactions to available houses at Funda and the number of people who react to the same house have increased from quarter to quarter.
House prices will continue to rise for a while, forecasts ABN Amro, which raised its expectations about the housing market on Tuesday: for 2021, the bank expects houses to become 12.5 percent more expensive, and then another 5 percent in 2022.
