What happened to Indian Red Boy during his Instagram Live video?
The 21-year-old rapper whose real name is Zerail Dijon Rivera, was shot three times in the head during his Instagram Live video.
Shocking images posted online show him smiling and laughing with social media influencer Kapone moments before his death.
Suddenly three gunshots are heard and Rivera can be seen breathless as he says “get help” before collapsing in his seat.
Hawthorne Police Department Lt. Ti Goetz explained, “It appears to be a walk-in shootout and he appears to have been targeted… he appears to be a gang member.
What was he doing in the Instagram Live video?
On July 8, 2021, Indian Red Boy was in his car driving in Hawthorne.
He was chatting online with his friend Kapone, a social media influencer, he was shot in an apparently targeted attack.
Reports indicate that the attack occurred in block 14100 of Chadron Avenue at 4 p.m.
Los Angeles County firefighters said Rivera was already dead when they arrived at the crime scene.
The suspect fled before the police arrived.
Authorities are still looking for the suspect and are examining video systems in the area.

While the motive for the shooting has yet to be confirmed, the 21-year-old is believed to have been shot in revenge for mocking gang signs and disrespecting a mural by Nipsey Hussle .

However, just a day before Red Boy’s death, he was reportedly seen in a video vomiting gang signs, MTO News reported.
The outlet claimed the signs were “disrespectful” to other Los Angeles gangs.
Rivera reportedly took to Instagram Live the next day to explain why he made the signs, which is when filming took place.
Nipsey died in March 2019 after being murdered outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Central, Los Angeles.
Eric Holder, a member of the same gang, the Rollin ’60s, has been named as a suspect in connection with his death.
