After more and more providers from the e-two-wheeler industry were exhibiting at the leading US electronics show (Consumer Electronics Show – CES for short) in Las Vegas in recent years, the organizer Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has one for the coming year Demo area with test track for e-bikes and e-scooters announced. Name of this newly launched CES event sector: E-Mobility Experience.
E-Mobility Experience is organized by Electric Bike Events LLC, a wholly-owned business unit of the international trade fair organizer EJ Krause & Associates (EJK). According to Electric Bike Events, the test track at CES 2022, which runs from January 5th to 8th in the Convention Center (LVCC), will include over 50 suppliers of e-bikes, scooters, accessories and parts.
E-Mobility Experience is part of the CES exhibition areas Transport and Smart Cities. In general, according to the CTA, the category of transport and vehicle technology is on the way to record growth at CES 2022.
»Sales of e-bikes continue to rise. Both in the United States and internationally, e-bikes and e-scooters have some of the hottest mobility products on the market. The fact that we are bringing a test track and a demo area to CES, the most influential tech event in the world, reflects the importance of this growing category, ”explains EJ Krause & Associates CEO Ned Krause. His team is behind the 22 e-bike test track programs that have been running across the United States since 2016 – including the test track programs at the unfortunately no longer existing America’s largest bike fair, Interbike.
Gap filler CES?
According to E-Mobility Experience program manager Bill Sell, there is still a strong need in America for a major national bike show. Since Interbike, which was once at home in Las Vegas for many years and finally had to give up the sails after a one-year guest performance in Reno, the bicycle / e-bike trade fair sector in America has been idle. Sell and his team are speculating on filling this gap with their offer. E-Mobility Experience would bring e-bike providers together with retailers, media and suppliers, some of whom are already exhibiting at CES. »E-bikes and e-scooters are all technology-oriented and fit in well with the CES profile. The program and exhibition format simply makes it much easier to find and rate the products, ”explains Sell.
On board: the latest technology innovations from the e-two-wheeler industry
“The transportation industry has quickly moved towards clean, electrically powered vehicles. The world’s leading brands decide to present this technology at CES, ”says CES and CTA Executive Vice President Karen Chupka. With the new event sector E-Mobility Experience in the back, visitors to CES 2022 could be presented with the latest innovations from the e-bike and e-scooter industry.
