Given the reluctance that some sectors of the population in Chiapas have shown to be vaccinated against coronavirus, the health sector in the entity and the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) launched the vaccination strategy against covid-19 “2+1”.
The objective is that people from 18 to 39 years old promote and take adults 40 years and older to get vaccinated and as an incentive, they will also receive the biological.
With these actions, the aim is to increase the number of people protected against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Chiapas, one of the states with the lowest percentage of vaccination “Due to population dispersion and misinformation,” reported Social Security.

In addition, this Monday in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, new vaccination centers were opened, located in the Municipal Presidency building, another in the Community Development Center (Cedeco) of the Las Granjas neighborhood, in the Municipal Agency of the neighborhood. The vaccination schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and those who attend must present a credential from the INE or CURP.
In each vaccination center, sanitary measures are guaranteed, such as the correct and mandatory use of face masks, hand hygiene, washing with soap and water, use of 70 percent alcohol gel and maintaining a healthy distance, said the agency.
