“All processes have been running since some time ago, and are still running until now. The digitization carried out at KBI is not only for external services, namely for stakeholders, but also digitalization in internal operations,” explained Fajar Wibhiyadi.

Meanwhile, in terms of services for stakeholders related to the role of KBI as a clearing institution, currently all reports related to clearing guarantee activities and transaction settlements have all been done digitally. For the Warehouse Receipt System, KBI has recently updated the registration application by applying technology blockchain and smart contract.

“Then from the internal side, various digitalization programs have been and are being carried out by this BUMN, such as the e-note application, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), as well as automated internal systems,” he added.

According to him, the business digitization carried out by KBI is certainly in line with the core BUMN value is AKHLAK, where one of the main values ​​is Adaptive.

“In this adaptive value, KBI always continues to innovate and is enthusiastic in moving and facing change,” he added.

Meanwhile, Toto Pranoto, BUMN Observer from the University of Indonesia Management Institute, said that technological disruption is inevitable, and like it or not, SOEs must take steps to adapt and transform towards digitalization. According to him, some SOEs have adapted to the radical changes caused by the technological disruption.

This means that they have already applied the digital age in the company’s operations, as well as people mindset in the organization.

“However, from the digitalization process what is more important is the cultural transformation in BUMN to become a state-owned company that has digital mindset and a strong culture,” he concluded.
