South Korea is now entering wave 4 of Covid-19 which is exacerbated by the Delta variant.
South Korea imposed the highest-level movement ban in Seoul after the nation’s capital saw a spike in Covid-19 cases that had already reached “maximum crisis levels.”
South Korea stated that it would implement a Level 4 movement ban in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and Incheon.
News agency Yonhap reported that the ban will be in effect for two weeks starting Monday (12/7).
The South Korean government has banned gatherings of more than two people from 6 p.m.
Schools will be closed, while cafes and restaurants will be restricted.
Dine-in service will be prohibited after 10 PM.
Most of the new Covid-19 cases have been detected in Seoul, a city that is home to nearly half of South Korea’s population.
