Vaccination is of course also important, says Söder: “We vaccinate. And we vaccinate very consciously, starting now with the final grades. And our goal is also to advertise that the vaccination offer is possible for more young people. We will be next Week also enable students to vaccinate at the universities. So go very consciously into the young target groups. ” Söder had repeatedly spoken out in favor of more vaccinations for young people. Once again he asked the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) to reconsider its recommendation to vaccinate young people. So far, the Stiko recommends a vaccination for children from the age of twelve only with previous illnesses and the possible associated severe corona courses: “There is no obligation to go to the catering trade, there is no obligation to go anywhere, to a shop. But there is the duty to go to school. That is why we would also like to see that people give themselves a little more of a jolt. Especially since Stiko itself – and this is not a reproach – has fundamentally changed its recommendation several times. ” Meanwhile, Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn complained about a halting vaccination campaign. According to Spahn, as few people in Germany were vaccinated on Sunday as they were last in February. “Unlike in February, there is now enough vaccine”, Spahn writes on Twitter and adds: “It remains: Please get vaccinated!”
