Culture flourishes in Oviedo this July. For this next week, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a wide cultural offer, reinforced by the start of the “New Times” concert cycle. A nutritious menu that includes music, cinema, dance and a wide range of exhibitions, suitable for all palates.

In the field of exhibitions, Trascorrales continues the exhibition “Santullano, journey to the 9th century”, an exhibition of THE NEW SPAIN organized by the City of Oviedo within the program of cultural activities promoted by Oviedo as Origin of the Camino de Santiago, which subsidizes the Government of the Principality of Asturias. The exhibition, with free admission and which already easily exceeds a thousand visitors with just four days of opening, can be visited every day, from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00. In addition, the tour can be completed with an independent visit to the church of San Julián de los Prados, located just a 15-minute walk from Trascorrales.

The city’s exhibition offer also includes the three major museum centers in the old town, the so-called “museum block”: the Oviedo Cathedral, open to tourist visits from Monday to Saturday; the Archaeological Museum, which has reinforced its guided tours and is open from Wednesday; and the Museum of Fine Arts, which is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
