VGAYET (TAMURT) – It is an original tribute that the Local Association of Women Artists of Seddouk, ALFA for short, has just paid, on July 10 and 11, to Idir, the icon of Kabyle song, by organizing a exhibition of painted banners inspired by his legendary songs. The event took place at the youth center of Seddouk in the presence of the local artistic family and the general public.
More than twenty banners painted by artists, mostly members of the ALFA association, were exhibited for the occasion. Beautiful paintings, made by young artists, and expressing the various themes sung by the performer of the famous “A vava Inouva”, like love, Kabylia and its beautiful mountains, woman, freedom, exile and many others. This Sunday, July 11, this event was enhanced by the presence of the polyphonic choir “Les cœurs n At Yenni”, native region of the late Idir, who also magnificently performed several of his songs.
For their part, the poets Timsi Abderrahmane, Idiri Newwara and Amrouche Saïd gratified the public with sublime poetic recitals. Note that this exhibition will be organized on July 24 in At Lahcen, a village where the legend of Kabyle song, Idir, was born.
