Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Former world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. won a bet of US $ 85,714.30, or equivalent to Rp. 1.2 billion after Dustin Poirier beat Conor McGregor at UFC 264 at T-Mobile Arena, Sunday (11/7).
McGregor was declared defeated by TKO after being unable to continue the fight in round 2 due to a broken leg in the left ankle or tibia.
McGregor’s loss to Poirier gave Floyd Mayweather luck, who won the bet.
Quoted from Sports Bible, Mayweather placed a bet of US $ 50 thousand and could take home US $ 85,714.30 (approximately Rp1,241 billion).
The victory was announced by Mayweather through a post on social media while showing his bet slip.
“Dustin Poirier, thanks for making me win the bet,” wrote Mayweather’s post.

“I made you successful Champ [sang juara], “balas Poirier.
A broken tibia injury could keep Conor McGregor out of action for a long time from the UFC or other sporting activities.
Physiotherapists and injury analysis NRL Physio predict The Notorious can recover and should be out of sport for around 6 to 12 months.
Not only that, NRL Physyio also assessed that McGregor will be put on bars or plates on the broken bones to help recovery.
