Netflix finally has the first full trailer for Kingdom-prequel Ashin of the North released. The film will be available to stream from July 23.
In the trailer we see more of the childhood of main character Ashin. She discovers the sacred Resurrection Plant in a section of a jungle where no one has been allowed to enter for over a century. The trailer shows that we learn a lot in the film about the motivation of Ashin, who turns out to be behind the zombie virus.
Zombies
The trailer shows the traumatic incident that sends Ashin on her path of revenge. She’s on a mission to “all living things” to kill in her country and in Korea.

The 92-minute film serves as a prequel to the series’ first two seasons Kingdom. Viewers will discover the role Ashin played in the zombie epidemic and the origin of the Resurrection Plant.
We only met the character in the series in the last moments. Her appearance points to important developments for a third season of the series, which we still haven’t heard officially about.
