Dawid Kurminowski may soon join the ranks of Pogoń Szczecin – informs Jerzy Chwałek from Super Express.
Speculation about the return of Dawid Kurminowski began when he did not play in Thursday’s Conference League qualifying match against Georgian Dila Gori (5: 1). MŠK Žilina’s coach, Pavol Stano, explained at a press conference that this was due to a transfer offer from abroad that the 22-year-old had received. But he said nothing more.
The former sniper of Lech Poznań began to be immediately associated with the move to Pogoń Szczecin. After the departure of Adrian Benedyczak to Parma, Kosta Runjaic’s team is looking for a new striker.
Last season, Dawid Kurminowski finally made a permanent leap to the top eleven of MŠK Žilina. In total, he managed to play 32 matches, during which he entered the list of shooters 19 times and assisted five times. Such a number of goals scored allowed him to become the best scorer of the Slovak Premier League, and his team finally reached the lowest step of the podium at the end of the tournament.
The 22-year-old made his first football steps at Warta Poznań. In his junior age, he moved to Lech Poznań, whose scouts drew attention to him. However, he never made his debut in the colors of the first team of “Kolejorz”. He only appeared in juniors and reserves.
For Kurminowski, this development of the situation was unsatisfactory. Therefore, he decided to search for regular minutes in Slovakia. First he joined the Zemplin Michalovce team, from which he moved to MŠK Žilina a year later.
UPDATE
Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl believes that the transfer of the former Lech player to Pogoń is rather out of the question. The young player is to have better offers from foreign clubs on the table.
