LEGO Masters winner Jan passed away: ‘Intensely sad and unreal’

Jan Pennings, winner of the first season of Lego Masters, has died at the age of 32. That says his ex-partner Lola Nouwens on social media.

“Intensely sad and especially unreal: Jantje is no longer there,” Lola writes on Instagram.

Lola and Jan from Boxtel won the first season of the immensely popular program together. They were absolute crowd pleasers. “I am incredibly grateful for his infectious zest for life, infinite creativity and indestructible optimism, for his friendship and loving care, for his weird humor and hysterical laugh. But above all I am incredibly sad. Because man, I already miss him,” said lol.

Jan discovered at the age of 22 that he had a brain tumor. It is unclear whether he died from the effects of this disease. The family asks for peace and privacy.
