14,609 new cases of Covid the week of May 24: further decrease by a third

14,609 new cases of Covid were detected in Ile-de-France the week of May 24 against 21,197 the previous week (consolidated figures from Public Health France as of June 6), down 31% against 15% last week. The decline is accelerating.

Warnings:
1 ° the data for the week of May 31 only concern the first 4 days for the moment.
2 ° The data of the positive tests of the same week vary slightly from one week to another because it takes several weeks for the figures to be completely consolidated, which is why we specify each time the date of consolidation of the data .

Monday’s peak decreases further

The evolution of the peaks on Monday, due to the catching up of tests after the weekend, also makes it possible to anticipate the evolution of the pandemic to the following week and makes it possible to predict a further decrease in contamination the week of May 31. . 2,685 positive tests were indeed detected on Monday 31 May compared to 3,742 on Tuesday 25 May (the day after the weekend of Pentecost)

Falling positivity rate

At the national level, the 7-day rolling positivity rate (therefore slightly different from the day-to-day positivity rate) is 2.6%, a further decrease compared to last week (3.3).

The incidence rate drops below 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at the regional level

In the Ile-de-France region, the incidence rate of Covid-19 positive people per 100,000 inhabitants, which had risen to more than 600, fell below the 100 mark, to 99.1 . Three departments still remain slightly above: Val d’Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne, but the rate drops significantly everywhere from one week to the next.
