A propeller plane crashed Thursday night near Örebro airport in Sweden.
Police confirmed shortly after the incident their websites, and described it as “very serious”.
On Friday night, they report that all nine people on board have been confirmed dead:
– Everyone on board the crashed plane has lost his life. A total of nine people died in the accident, the police write in a press release.
They will not give more details during the night, they state.
Skydivers and pilot
The emergency services were notified of the accident at 19.23.
Press manager Carl-Johan Linde at the Swedish Maritime Administration confirms to Dagbladet that the people on board the plane must have been eight parachutists and one pilot.
– It is a very serious and tragic incident, says duty officer Tomas Carlsén at the rescue service to the Swedish news agency TT.

Expressen writes that the plane crashed near the airport, when it was about to take off from the runway.
It then started to burn, says sea rescue leader Emil Gustavsson:
– The plane burned, but the fire has now been extinguished by the airport’s rescue service, he says to TT.
According to Expressen, all the people were inside the plane when it caught fire.
– We work hard together with the regional rescue service, as well as the airport’s rescue workers, said press manager Linde at the Swedish Maritime Administration to Expressen on Thursday night.
Several ambulances rushed to the scene, showing photos and videos in the Swedish press.
According to TV4 two people were first transported to hospital.
– It is lifesaving that is going on, said Anders Lännholm at Sjö and the air rescue center, to the canal.

Photos published by the newspaper Nerikes Allehanda showed that smoke rose from the accident site after the crash.
– It is a serious situation, said spokesman Lars Hedelin for the Bergslagen police, and described the incident as a “total accident”.
The background to the incident is not yet known. Technicians, investigators and other personnel have been called in for investigations.
Örebro municipality has set up a crisis center in connection with the accident, writes Expressen.
