Over the years, Apple has greatly expanded the Health app on iPhone with ways to track weight, fitness, and more. Earlier this year, we reviewed the best smart scales to sync weight to iPhone. Another measurement that can be integrated with Apple’s Health app is blood pressure. These are some of the current options on the market to synchronize blood pressure with the Health application on your iPhone.
How does it work
HealthKit is a framework offered by Apple that allows third-party developers to integrate data into the Health application. For example, calorie tracking apps can share data with the Health app to track nutrition, smart scales can sync data with the Health app to monitor your weight, and more.
The goal of the Apple Health app is to be a one-stop-shop for all your health-related data, including the placement of Apple Watch data along with data from third-party apps, your healthcare provider, and more. This makes it easy to view trends over time, improvements, and more for all your health data.
Withings
Knowing that high blood pressure runs in my family, I knew it was something I needed to start monitoring. And knowing myself, I knew I needed something that was as simple as possible, where data would be automatically logged with a minimal amount of space. For this reason, Withings BPM Connect has become my go-to option.
Withings BPM Connect is available on Amazon for $ 99 and features integration with the Withings Health Mate app and Apple Health. It syncs data to your iPhone via WiFi or Bluetooth and it’s rock solid in terms of reliability, and I’ve been using it for a long time. It recharges via microUSB and lasts up to six months on a single charge.
Withings says that BPM Connect is FDA approved and meets European medical device standards. I found it accurate, reliable, and intuitive in all my tests. You can also support multiple users with the Health Mate app for use by the whole family.
Qardio
Qardio is a manufacturer of premium health accessories, and their QardioArm wireless blood pressure monitor is a stylish and easy-to-use option with Apple Health integration. Priced at $ 99, it’s a similarly priced alternative to the Withings BPM Connect and perfect for those already immersed in the Qardio ecosystem.
The QardioArm features Apple Health integration, battery life of up to one year with “frequent use” and uses AAA batteries. I have used various Qardio accessories in the past and can definitely recommend the company.

Budget options
One of the most popular budget options for syncing health data to your iPhone is the 1byone blood pressure monitor. This monitor supports Bluetooth connectivity and syncs with the 1byone app, which can then be synced with the Apple Health app. This costs less than $ 30 on Amazon.
Another well-reviewed budget option is OMRON Silver, which again features Bluetooth connectivity and Apple Health integration. It comes in for less than $ 60 and also features Amazon Alexa integration.
