“In addition to the problem of lack of medicine for cancer patients in the state of Nayarit, medical equipment is no longer useful, it is obsolete”, Revealed in an exclusive interview for this media, the Secretary General of the Federation of Trade Unions of Workers at the Service of the State, Dr. Roberto Fierros Aroza.
The union leader expressed that the problem due to the lack of medicines in Nayarit is very serious and delicate:
“It is delicate, very delicate because patients who have problems with breast cancer and any other type of neoplasia are coming, they are going to ask for support to see if there is medicine, but there is no recourse.”
He added that the 32 general secretaries of the health sector recently met to analyze the situation: “Today, precisely a week ago, the 32 General Secretaries who make up our union center in the state had a meeting, we presented all the issues related to the problem that is being faced. living in the hospital and we are waiting for them to be resolved because there are many problems, there are many problems and not only because of the lack of supplies, but also of medical equipment that is already obsolete, that no longer works.
We are in the situation that we are going to the new ISSSTE hospital but we do not see him arrive, meanwhile, serious, very serious patients arrive here and we have to treat them in the best way and with everything so that they can cope with their illnesses, but we have many shortcomings and then they want to finish off with unionized workers and this is not the case, this situation is due to the lack of total capacity of those who manage the hospitals.
Roberto Fierros Aroza, asserted that it is due to the lack of capacity of those who administer the hospitals, that it is not possible to process the medications that the beneficiaries need for the treatment of their illnesses in a timely manner:
“Because of the bad administrators, some medicines are not processed, I tell you this because we have sent letters to Mexico City signed by 400 or 300 workers asking for medicine and they tell us; What happens is that if they are not doing their work there we are not aware, there are medicines here, but if they do not ask for them how we send them… for this reason we consider that these bad administrators should leave the hospital ”.
Before concluding the interview, Roberto Fierros revealed that despite the appointment of the new ISSSTE director who is located in the Las Canteras area for a long time, he does not have the pleasure of meeting him: “In the new ISSSTE hospital we have to a new director that I do not know, I think his last name is Briseño, but he has not been kind enough to introduce himself to the union federation saying that he will be the new director and well we are waiting to see when it occurs to him.
Because without the intervention of the union section of our federation it is not so easy to say; We are all going to the new hospital, yes, but under what conditions, because they want us to attend a much larger hospital with the same staff and not like that, there are many things that we can talk about here that are happening and are delicate things ”.
