On the afternoon of this Wednesday, precisely around 8:30 p.m., a new shipment of Pfizer vaccines arrived. According to sources from the Presidency, this time 40,950 doses arrived via Lufthansa Cargo.

This shipment is part of the vaccines that the government agreed with the laboratory that arrive, for the most part, on Wednesdays. However, on this occasion, almost 10,000 fewer vaccines arrived than those that normally arrive. In the previous three arrivals, two shipments arrived with 58,500 vaccines and one of 57,330.

With the preparations that arrived in the country this Wednesday, the government will be able to continue with the already advanced Vaccination Plan against covid-19. In this sense, Uruguay last Monday exceeded 50% of the population inoculated with two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

According to data from the Vaccination Data Monitor of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) at 10.35 this Monday, 4,070,950 doses of the coronavirus vaccine were administered in total. The doses are divided into 2,301,273 (64.95% of the population) people who received the first and 1,769,677 inoculated with both doses (49.55%).
