According to the investigation, the official of the KP “Zaporozhye International Airport” ignored the implementation of poor-quality repair of the runway, which was done back in 2017-2018.
“Instead of contacting the contractor for a warranty case, since the repair was of inadequate quality, the defendant found a new company that took over the repair of these very sections,” the press service notes.
An official’s improper performance of his official duties led to a double payment of the cost of repair work and, as a result, to UAH 9 million in losses to the state budget.
“As part of the previously open criminal proceedings, the investigators of the special service informed the official about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the press service writes.
It should be noted that in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, an official faces imprisonment for up to five years.
