Nintendo Switch (OLED model) will make it easier to play with the console in table mode, since the angle of the console can now be adjusted. The new model also gets a completely new docking station which also has Ethernet (LAN) integrated, for stable internet connection. Internal storage has been increased to 64 GB, and the speakers have been upgraded to provide better sound.
As before, the Nintendo Switch can be played on the color, or you can remove the Joy-Con controls on the sides, plug the computer into the dock that is connected to the TV, and play as on a desktop game console.
The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) arrives on October 8, the same day as Nintendo releases the game Metroid Dread. Carrying case and screen protector will be available for purchase as an option at launch.
Nintendo Switch (OLED model) has three different game modes:
TV mode: Place the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) in the dock and play the entire Nintendo Switch game library on the TV. You can also play over the internet via Ethernet cable.
Board mode: Take your console anywhere and play with others with the two included Joy-Con controls. New for the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is that the angle can be adjusted for a more comfortable gaming experience.
Handheld mode: Play anywhere, watch the game on the built-in 7-inch OLED screen. You can play with others online, even in handheld mode.
All previous Joy-Con controllers are compatible with the new model. The same is true of existing games.
The console comes in the colors black / white or black / neon red and blue.
