Ukrainian drivers are not ready to give up their cars, but see the solution to the problem in the construction of new infrastructure.
In Ukraine, 73% of drivers believe that building new roads and junctions can reduce traffic jams, while only 12% would agree with restrictions on the entry of cars into city centers. About it testify the results of a survey of 10,000 respondents by OLX analytics service on Wednesday 7 July.
At the same time, even fewer are ready to share their car with others in order to reduce the load on the roads – only 7% of drivers.
In addition, car drivers consider bicycles and scooters to be dangerous, and cyclists take to the roads due to poor infrastructure.
At the same time, 69% of Ukrainians surveyed who own a passenger car use it daily, 22% – take a car several times a week, 7% – get behind the wheel only on weekends or several times a month, 2% – use the car alternately with other members families.
Every fifth Ukrainian thinks that in his village he can get stuck in a traffic jam even on weekends. The same number – has a negative attitude to the dedicated lanes for public transport, supposedly they only reduce the carriageway for passenger cars. At the same time, 80% still have a positive attitude to these bands.
Finally, every third respondent who does not have a car plans to buy one. Only every eighth pedestrian does not sit behind a car, as he considers public transport to be more convenient.
Recall that car production grew 2.4 times over the year… In Ukraine, more cars were produced in June compared to last year, but less compared to May of this year.
It was also reported that in Ukraine simplified the check of cars… The combination of the VIN code encodes information about the manufacturer, vehicle characteristics and year of manufacture.
