The Twitter team again shared a series of concepts that it is analyzing to improve the user experience on the platform.
This time they focused on some common problems that Twitter users have when managing their accounts or interacting with their followers.
For example, one of the situations that is contemplated is the one that usually occurs when responding from a protected Twitter account. While we can interact normally with people we follow or have approved to follow our account, any response given to another user remains hidden.
A detail that not everyone knows and that can cause misunderstandings among users. To avoid this problem, Twitter considers the possibility of activating an automatic reminder that allows the user to change their account settings to public, so that the response is visible.
Twitter evaluates new options to manage accounts
Another feature that is being analyzed is aimed at those users who manage different accounts of Twitter. To make it easier for them to switch from one account to another, or to know which account they are tweeting from, they propose a small change, as you can see in the image.
The idea is that users see all their available accounts in one place, and each one with their avatar, username, privacy level, etc. And on the other hand, they are also considering a new dynamic that could limit harassment on the platform.
For example, the user could specify that they do not want their account to be found through the Twitter search engine, or that they not be included in the “Who to follow” suggestions. Configuration options that can be permanent or not, since this concept proposes that the user can establish a certain period of time.
And to reinforce this dynamic, Twitter could also send alerts when it detects that it is receiving “negative attention” so that the user can take action in their account settings.
